I was in this small house, kind of similar in style to traditional Japanese architecture.
It was extremely dark, just barely allowing sight.
No matter where I looked, these shadowy figures clouded my vision. They were mostly humanoid but a few had not-quite-human shapes, and I think there were some bugs and spiders. Somehow, I could sense a degree of malice from them, though they did not speak and may not have even been fully corporeal.
Either way, I was quite disturbed. I kept thinking to myself "how are they everywhere" while dashing around the narrow rooms.
I closed myself into an especially small room in an attempt to cut them off, but there were in here too. They were not creatures in a euclid sense, but instead permeated the darkness.
I never could escape, but technically they never did anything to me. I awoke suddenly.
I may have been on DPH the night of this dream.
