i was part of this like, revolutionary guard fighting for justice
in the world, and everyone was being oppressed by these cyberpolice
(they were kind of like the combine). we were in our secret base planning out
a mission when suddenly a big carrier ship full of the cybercops flew by,
and we decided that this was a good opportunity to take action.
so we got our weapons, got in our own airship, and started pursuing them.
i was leaning out of the door shooting at them as we chased, but it seemed
like we couldn't get fast enough to make any progress on them.
suddenly they opened a portal and went through it, we tried to follow them
but the crew couldn't make it in time. however, i did manage to jump
into the portal myself. once i got in, i was in this huge dark hallway
where i could see the cops running somewhere.
i ran after them as best i could but i ran out of breath. suddenly,
there were no people to be seen, i was alone in this massive, mysterious
structure. when i looked closer, it seemed to be a library,
all of the walls were actually bookshelves full of books.
i picked one out and tried to read it, but the language seemed to be
something strange and alien. i wandered around for hours, until eventually
i found "the shop", which was a meeting point where several people were
talking, buying and selling things, and many of them were from other
dimensions. some of them didn't even look human. the owner of "the shop"
was this huge fish guy. i hung out in there for a while, and got interested
in buying some of the things there since it seemed like they were powerful
artifacts and otherworldly things. i didn't have any money though.
eventually i tried to steal something, but the owner caught me,
and i was banished, left to rot in the endless expanse of the great library.
